Description
Looking for something to do in Brisbane? Hire a kayak and paddle from a pontoon at West End is a great way to see the city and surrounds and is always a memorable experience. Paddle upriver to Orleigh Park and take a break in the park that has park benches, barbeques & toilets.
A Recreation Hub has been constructed on Riverside Drive, between Kurilpa Street and Rogers Street in West End. The shore side of the Pontoon has a low ledge allowing kayak paddlers to launch a kayak without getting their feet wet, An assistant will be on the pontoon helping people onto very safe & stable kayaks.
Brisbane City Council is committed to improving access to the Brisbane River for residents and visitors, promoting an active and healthy lifestyle by encouraging greater use of the city’s recreational facilities and enhancing the attraction offered by the Brisbane River as a recreational and tourist destination.
