Hiring A Kayak

Looking for something fun to do in Brisbane now that COVID restrictions have lifted?  Why not hire a Kayak and explore Tingalpa Creek Estuary with a friend!

Per Person (8+): $45 single Kayak, $90 double

2 hours on the water. Allow 2.5 hours in total

Tingalpa Creek is one of the best places for kayaking in the Redlands, which is why it is the selected home for the Redlands Canoe Club. The Creek flows along Brisbane’s south east boundary with Redland City Council. The Waterway serves as important wildlife corridor on the city’s fringe, for example you can spot an assortment of birds such as Herons, Ibis & Egrets. The water catchment area covers 150 km² and is a great spot for fishing!
We are located just twenty kilometers from Brisbane CBD by car, or you can take a train trip to Thorneside Railway Station, which is ~400m from the Boat Ramp.
Nearby amenities include toilets, a small Shopping Centre and some local Cafes.
We provide: Kayaks, Buoyancy Vest, Sunscreen, waterproof bags for personal items and bottled water.

  • Kayak Hire is by appointment in advance
  • We provide a safety briefing, quality Kayaks and Buoyancy Vest, however
some experience is necessary as you will be out on the water without a tour guide
  • We provide secure storage for your valuables while you paddle
  • There are no booking, or hidden costs
